Here at GSI Outdoors design gear to last. Follow the simple maintenance steps below to keep your gears going for years and years.
Before Initial Use:
Hand-wash your gear with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry gear. Now it’s ready for your next adventure.
After Each Adventure:
Hand-wash your gear with hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and repeat if necessary.
Cleaning Hard Anodized:
If your pots and pans have a film try rubbing them with a little lemon juice, vinegar and even ketchup.
If you find several stains or burns on the outside of your cookware, use a scouring agent to clean them properly. You can make a paste by using baking soda or mild scouring powder and then rub the paste on the stains with a dishcloth or cleaning brush and rinse it with warm water.
Cleaning Stainless Steel:
For bigger, tougher stains that climb up the sides of a saucepan or skillet create a paste of water and baking soda in center of pan. Rub paste in a circular motion using a damp sponge or towel. Rinse paste, wash with warm soapy water and dry. Or for larger pots add baking soda to the center or pan with 1/2 to 1 cup of water. Bring water to boil and cover pan. As the water boils and evaporates, it will leave a film of baking soda around the walls of the pan that you can then scrub off. When most of the water has boiled off, turn off the heat and use a long-handled brush or scouring pad to scrub off your mess (again, new pads will work better). It’s best to do this while the pan is still hot, so it may help to use gloves and grip the pan with a towel or oven mitt.
You can also try using a little white distilled vinegar. Mix 1/2 cup of household white distilled vinegar and 1/2 cup of warm water to help remove any stains or discoloration. Let the affected area sit for 3 about minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water and repeat if necessary.

Hi,
I recently picked up your javamill, and it's been making delicious coffee so far. But I was wondering what your recommendatioms are with regards to cleaning the product. Because clean gear produces the best coffee, and the javamill has a lot of small cracks that is not easy to access with a cleaning sponge for example.
Best regards,
Kim from Norway
